Musicians / Producers

I produce various types of house music... Experienced, yet still so much to learn... I'm 25 years old, and have been into electronic music since about 13 years old... Became a part of the Orlando dance music scene in 94, and now live on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. I look forward to meeting my fellow djs and producers.

Hey guys,
I've been reading up on past threads, and have been unable to find answers to my studio problems... I'm sure it's very simple to fix, hopefully someone has a similar setup and can help...this is what I have:
G4 Powerbook, Logic Pro 6, M-Audio Firewire 410, Yamaha Motif 6, Access Virus C, Event 20/20 Monitors...

As some of you know the M-Audio interface has only 1 set of midi in/outs... The Motif has USB, however, when I use it, I get a lot of static noise and distortion...unplug USB, sound disappears. I'd like to find out how to use usb without the noise to keep the midi open for the Virus...

I've heard of daisy chaining, but have never done it nor know how, since I'm accustomed to units w/ multiple midi ins/outs, but no longer have one.

Lastly, I'm assuming when this is connected properly, that I'll have issues hearing both instruments simultaneously through Logic since the Firewire 410 has those Mic/Line buttons which only enable you to hear one at a time...well you could do both in mono...but who wants that....

I hope someone can help!! Thanks

Steve
