Firewire Hd: 400 Or 800?!?

I need to buy an external hard drive to use with Protools and my powerbook 17" 1.5 GHz.
I would like to know what do you think about the differences between a LaCie Big Disk Extreme 320GB with a Firewire 800 - Oxford 912-8Mb and a
Maxtor OneTouch™ II - 300GB with a Firewire 400 - Oxford 911-16 Mb.

Everytime a read a review it's always about people that use the hd for pro video/photo, I would like to know something about the ProAudio needs.

Protools After Update

Hello,
I have a mac G5 2 GHz and a Digi 002.
I just updated ProTools to 6.4 and the software doesn't recognize my MIDI Keyboard anymore.
( it's a Roland PC-300 )
If I load a virtual instruments in standalone mode or in Cubase SX it works but if I load it in ProTools it doesn't receive the signal.
I tried to trash all the preferences, repair the permissions, but it doesn't work anyway.
The PC-300 is connected to my mac trought a USB port.

Protools 6.4 And Midi

Atmosphere/trilogy On Panther

I used to play Atmosphere and Trilogy on Os 9, but now that I have Panther on a new machine, that doesn't have this VSTi preinstalled on classic, I receive an error when I try to install them.
I have also the update for X but it's just the vst to replace if you have them already installed on the HD.
What can I do?
