I have been asked to score music for a film and use Logic Express 6 on a G5. I recently bought the moeg2 enabler for Quicktime to allow playback of the movie in logic, ut I now have no sound from the movie ie. dialogue.
Would this be a Logic setting (cant find anything, there is a video setting but not many options) or a setting in Quicktime.
Any help greatly appreciated as the manuals are crap as usual.
I am using Logic Express 6 on my G5 with a audiophile 24.96 soundcard and Roland XP30 synth. I have always used a template environment for the XP30 which is good but when I select Midi Tr. 16 on the arrange window it triggers my XP30 from perform/part mode to Layer mode which I dont want.
This only happens on tr 16. How can I change this or what settings should I be checking on this track. I have checked that all the program numbers and everything else matches with the other tracks (on left hand side box in arrange and environment)
Any advice would be great!
I have recently purchsed some new Tapco S8 monitors....which are excellent! I am running them through my G5 Mac with a Soundcraft analogue mixer.
What settings should I be going fo r on each to get the best signals etc. I understand the mixer settings, but my monitors have input sensitivity, do I put it on full or lower and have other stuff higher. There is sometimes a quiet hiss on the monitors if they are turned up too loud, this should'nt happen in a small bedroom setu, surely?
Thanks for any advice!
I am having problems synching between Loigc Express 6 and Reason 2.5.
I am using Mac G5 1.6 (single) with Audiophile 24/96 soundcard, standard drive etc. Also I am using Dual Sony monitors (just incase it's a graphics thing.
Firstly, when using Reason by itself it is not always very stable- some tracks do not run in time and there are some horrible v. loud cracks (whichi is amazing for my brand new monitors.....not!)
i occasionally get an error message in Logic 'sync audio and midi...'.
Does anybody have any suggestions, as I know the G5 is up to the job, there are not even that many tracks running......and most are only midi anyway.
I have recently bought logic express 6 (only to find they've just brought out 7!) and it's great but occasionally the midi freezes. I'm playing (not Recording) and it stops working then when i click on the instrument on the arrange window it quickly plays back everything ive played in since it froze. Please help it's really annoying!!!
using: G5 1.6 running Osx 10.4, audiophile 24/96 s/card.
