Hello everyone, I just bought a new MacPro 3.0 quad and I need to transfer all my apps from a dual 1.8 over to the new one. I was wondering if you all had suggestions on the best way to transfer all my recording apps (Logic Pro, Pro Tools LE, and soft synths like Massive, Kore, and MOTU symphonic/Mach5) so that I don't perform any unnecessary steps. I thought It would be as easy as drag and drop but suggestions always simplify the process rolleyes.gif Thanks everybody

Hey guys I need some serious help. Heres my prob. I want to start sampling anything and everything that I want from records...you know LP's, to finger snaps, to guitar lines, to record hiss. I have Reason, Live, and Mach Five, but my main rig is a Digi 002 run through a Dual 1.8 Powermac G5. I've used FL on a PC and I have come to enjoy the "extras" in the form of filters, FX, timestretching, and even the Stereo loops. I am tired of using everyone elses samples. I want to sample everything myself, I just don't know what I need and how to go about it....I also have mics(AT3035, SM57, MXL 990..etc), a pre-amp (Presonus MP-20), as well as amps, and guitars/basses, and some drums. I really want to be able to keep the warmth of the sound but transfer it to digital so I can loop it. I know I can do it using PT but I would rather get a nice sampler so I can tweek to my hearts content then drop it into one of my sequencers. So I have about $600 to spend what is the best set-up I can get/need? Your help is always appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of MOTU Performer, the sequencing software? Good/Bad? I know that there is DP but is this the same. When I went to the Sweetwater.com website they had it but when I went to Musiciansfriend or even MOTU's web page it was not listed...I am looking for a soft sequencer that will compliment my Digi 002/ Mach Five, G5 set-up. Thanks

Hey everyone!
This is my first time posting so please bare with me as I might be asking something that was previously answered. I am into Goth/industrial and recently made the jump from pc's to Mac's. Now I own two. When I used to use Fruityloops as my sequencing app. It is a great app. Unfortunately for me it isn't for Mac. I have the Digi 002 as my hard disk recording program but I can't decide what would make a "professional" sequencer with enough professional features and won't make me an engineer but will allow me the ease to continue to be a musician. Anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Loki
