hi guys,
i have a roland vs1880 (similar to the Tascam 2488 or Yamaha 2000) - one big box that both records with inputs and is a mixing desk etc.
I want to hook this up to logic and need a soundcard.
I see people recommending the MOTU 828 and also another one (can't remember it's name) but i don't need to record this many tracks straight into my mac - i just need to sync what i have with my mac. (G4 laptop)

in this sense, can someone recommend a good (and hopefully cheaper soundcard) which can transfer tracks two at a time from roland into logic? quality is desirable as opposed to tracks,
thanks,

hi there, i have a roland vs 1880 (hope somebody out there knows what it is!) and i'm looking to hook it up to a DAW of some kind using a midi-usb connection of some kind and was hoping someone who has one could tell me what worked for them.
it has midi ins and outs/thru so shouldn't be too hard. i just don't want to buy something to find out a week later it isn't what i wanted.
my main reason for importing tracks like this is to lay down drum tracks in logic(say) as opposed to programming the whole thing into my DR770,
thanks
