I'm fairly new to Live having worked in Cubase for many years, so please bear with me!
I'm currently trying out Live 7 and using it to put together a 1 hour live show for a theatre. I'm using mp3 backing music on one track, stereo backing vocals on another track and a backup of the lead vocal on a 3rd track (in case of sore throats etc !!). These tracks are all assigned to different outputs from my audio interface into the FOH mixer.
I need to play all the clips from start to finish without having to trigger them manually or remotely. I've set up follow actions in each clip's launch box for the music track clips - set to 'next' track, which works ok, but the problem I have is that the 2 vocal tracks on each songs scene aren't being triggered - only the music track is playing without the vocals. If I trigger the scenes manually it works fine and everything plays as it should.
Any advice what I'm doing wrong, or how I should be going about this would be really helpful! I just need all the scenes to play from start to finish without stopping. Thx
Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a 17" MacbookPro maxed out with 2Gb RAM for use with the new Cubase4 Studio and Kontakt2 sampler + various other VST Instruments.. Spectrasonics, Latigo etc..
I also have an MAudio FW410 interface which I currently use on my G4 Powerbook.. it doesn't give me any problems - as long as I have nothing else connected to either the FW400 or 800 buss.
My question is, are the fw400 and 800 connections on the MacbookPro on seperate busses, or the same?
As I want to go for the faster 100Gb internal drive (7200rpm) I may need to also buy an external 7200rpm FW800 drive to accomodate all my project data.. samples , audio etc.. obviously, if I did this I wouldn't be able to run the MAudio interface reliably if the 800 bus was being shared or 'seen' by the 400 buss..
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated..
Thx
Hopefully someone can help me as I can't figure this out.
I'm using Cubase SX3 v3.1.1 with an M-Audio Firewire 410 interface.
Why are all my recorded midi notes (played from a DX7) being snapped to the start of the first bar and their lengths set all the same, so that when I play the recorded track back, it comes out as one huge chord?
I've checked my Prefs and everything appears to be OK. Am I missing something somewhere?
Thanks
Hopefully someone can help.
I'm trying to record my old DATs via a Tascam D20 connected up to the S/PDIF input on a Firewire 410 into CubaseSX3 on Mac OSX 10.3.7 - the 410 user guide says to set the inputs within Cubase 'Device Setup' to the S/PDIF Digital input L and R - trouble is, I can't find the digital inputs in Device Setup as they're not listed - all I can see are 4 inputs labelled Firewire 410 Multichannel 1 - 4 respectively.
I can hear the audio fine from the audio interface directly to my monitors - but there's no signal going into Cubase..
How do I set Cubase to see the digital input from the Firewire 410?
Any help with this would be really appreciated!
Thanks
I'm thinking of purchasing a Firewire hub, due to the amount of different firewire peripherals that I have.. my question is, does anyone know if Firewire hubs cause any problems when used in the audio firewire connection? My Firewire 410 according to M-Audio needs to be at the end of the Firewire buss, but unfortunately I only have one port on my Powerbook Ti 500 + I also have a 250Gb firewire800 drive with only 1 firewire 400 port, which more or less narrows down my possibilities.
Also, if anyone can recommend or offer any advice on decent 6 port firewire hubs as well, as I can't find any reviews anywhere ??
Thanks
