My Content
greetings. so, i am doing fine with creating R5 instruments in GarageBand based on the synths... but whenever i try to wire in a sequenced synth or otherwise generative ensemble, i get output from the ensemble in the meter but cannot get it to capture the output sound. i thought of trying to use it as a Live Instrument, but that doesn't seem to record the output either.
when i am in GarageBand, and view the monitor on the new [Software] Instrument, the level indicators are kicking. it's just that when i record, no midi notes are recorded out to GB; nor waveforms.
is there anyone who can successfully output BlueMatrix [or any other sequencer in Reaktor] to GB, and record it while the instrument is playing, who can describe the steps they took to do it?
thanks!

i searched for this issue first and found nothing, so am posting. i have upgraded to Tiger, happily for most purposes; but my eKeys does not seem to play through to Tiger. when i check its MIDI setup, it shows up as connected, but when i Test the connection and the cursor changes to notes, nothing plays through when i play the keyboard.
[note that i am a novice, and so troubleshooting MIDI interfaces are still a bit advanced for me...]
i have similarly gotten no sound when experimenting with GarageBand, or with Reaktor Session, although RS does list the MIDI in connection as 'on'.
is there a basic MIDI setup checklist somewhere i have missed? should i be waiting patiently for new M-Audio drivers?
thanks for any tips, especially from anyone who *is* using the eKeys in Tiger now!
