I would really appreciate it if someone could take a minute to explain the basics of linking up Reason with Pro Tools. I have both programs working, I can record the MIDI from my interfaces onto Pro Tools. But, I can't get the sounds from Reason to play with the MIDI track in Pro Tools. I have some Rhodes and Melotron sounds in Reason that I want on the Pro Tools tracks.

Here's what I am using:
Pro Tools 6.1
Reason 2.5
Digdesign 002
Mac G4
Kurtzweil Keyboard
Boss DR5

Can some one tell me what I am doing wrong here. I have Pro Tool, a G4, Digidesign 002, and a Lacie CD burner. I am trying to take songs from Pro tools, mix them and bounce the to a cd that will play in my cd player. I've gone through the "bounce to disk" to make a wave file at 16 bit, then drag them to the blank CD and burn it. When I put the disk in the CD player, the track is there, but no sound.

Thanks for any help.

I'm new to this, so this is a really basic question.

I want sounds such as Mellotron, Rhodes, and Wurlitzer. What do I need to get? What do I look for to get these sounds with what I have? My keyboard doesn't have these sounds so I have to do it with MIDI, but I don't know anything about it.

I have:
Digidesign 002
G4 Mac
Kurzweil keyboard w/MIDI

I have a G4 with Protools and a Digidesign 002 that I'm using to record. I want to get a laptop to be able to record on the road and I want it to work with the 002. I'll probably also get a Mbox to take on the road.

The problem is of course money. After getting all the other stuff, I have little budget for a laptop, but I need to get it. What is the cheapest way to go that will still work well? Any opinions would be appreciated.
