Sorry for this apparently simple question but I've gone through the manual as well as searching the pdf documentation and for the life of me can't find how to record with MIDI!!! Analog works fine but I'm not seeing the MIDI information in Logic Exp. 7 when attempting to record.

Equipment is a Powerbook G4 (1gb ram), OS X 10.9, Digi002 rack, drumKat. external Lacie HD to record to The MIDI cabling (In to Out etc.) seems to be correct but I'm getting nothing.

I create a MIDI track (either with channel 10 or all channels, neither works), select the track and arm/start recording while tapping out random "stuff" on the kat to see if it's registering. Nada, nothing. I'm using the latest DigiCore Audio Manager v6.9 and the PB sees the Digi002. The kat is seen in Audio MIDI setup and tests fine. The Default Input is the Digi002 and the Default Output is the built in audio.

What am I not doing or doing wrong? My next step would actually being able to hear the recorded sound but I'm not even close to that one yet (but if someone can volunteer that information along with letting me know what I'm missing here --besides a brain at this point!) I'd appreciate it.

fwiw I've done recordings before on a Tosh with Cakewalk both MIDI and analog and never had this problem. Got the PB and Logic because I wanted to approach this more seriously but Arrragggggh!

Thanks,

kj
