Disclaimer: I'm new at this.
I'm recording midi and digital audio in DP4.12. The audio is drifting apart from the midi. Apparantly the two clocks are not in sync. I've read through the DP manual and there are a few different methods of syncing midi and digital audio.
I'm looking for advise and suggestions here. Can you experts tell me what you think is the best choice for syncing the two? Would it be a better alternative to record audio on an external device rather than chewing up all that disc space? What about syncing? I saw the Digital Timepiece by Motu. Would it do the trick for me?
Thanks.

Hi, I am about to take the plunge. Can anyone tell me where they think the best deals are to buy these items: MAC G5 w/dual 2 Ghz processors MOTU digital performer v4 Propellerhead Reason MOTU 838MkII Any help would really be appreciated! Thanks, Scott
Hello, I have been gathering info over the last several days to try and build a great home recording studio primarily for sequencing music and playback. Here's what I have come up with so far: >Computer: Mac G5 Dual 2G processor, $2000+ >Interface: Motu 828MkII, $750 >Software: Digital Performer v4, $550 >Sounds: Propellerhead Reason, $350 Now, without breaking the bank all at once , I was wondering if my iMac G3 processor would suffice in place of the Mac G5 above, without wanting to put a sledge to it in frustration when it is bogging down. Is there anyone using an iMac G3 with Digital Performer? Thanks, Scott
