hey all. i'm just beginning to use BFD drum module. great program. i have a few questions. any users out there feel free to give your input. my first question is this. using it in pro tools as a plugin is there a way to assign each drum from BFD to its own seperate track in pro tools? so i would be able to mix and add plugins to an individual piece of the kit. my second question sort of relates to the first. in the very near future i would like to use my drummers roland vdrums with the BFD in pro tools. is this possible and if so, how would i go about doing this? can i seperate each drum into its own track that way as well? so it would be like recording a real kit. right now i am using pro tools LE 6.9.2 with tiger. i have a new powermac G5 dual 2.5 ghz with 1 gig of ram. anyone recommend upping my ram to 2gigs for BFD and the vdrums? any help on any of this would be very appreciated. any advice and tips from BFD users for a newbie would be great as well. cheers all
hey all
just wondering if anyone can help me out. i recently just upgraded my computer from a powerbook to a nice powermac G5 dual 2.5 ghz. 1 gig ram.
i run pro tools LE 6.9.2 on Tiger.
i was wondering if anyone has any advice on tweaking my powermac and/or pro tools to make it run the best it can. i use reason quite often along side pro tools. i am also using BFD drum module for drums. I plan on trying to use BFD along with my drummers roland v-drums in the near future.
one thing i noticed that i never expected to happen with a G5 was when i opened up my last session which was a small session with BFD drums along with some reason piano it stopped playback and told me to increase buffer size. and at one point it told me to decrease it. could this be a pro tools LE and tiger issue? maybe its still not stable?
any thoughts, suggestions and advice on any of this would be much appreciated. me being a powermac newbie i could use some from some more experienced users.
thanks so much.
cheers all.

When I try to load a session into pro tools from my Lacie 120gb fire wire drive it tells me it is not an "audio playback volume". The same thing happens when I go to create a new session. It says it is not an "audio record volume". The weird thing is that the drive has been working fine for a while. I just ran into this problem out of nowhere. I've tried to reformat the drive. That didn't work. I reinstalled pro tools. That didn't work. Also, the drive seems to work fine in OS 9. Any help would be great. i am desperate. Thank you.
