I´ve got a MOTU 828 MK II, and I run my studio on a G4 Dual 1,25 under OS X.
I´ve understood that OS X won´t accept VST plug-ins, but what if they are available in MAS-format? Will they:
1. Work under OS X?
2. Take load off the cpu and put more load on the MOTU-hardware?
What is MAS exactly? Is it better than VST? Does it work under OS X?

Here´s a weird problem:
I run Logic 6 Silver under OS X on a dual 1,25 G4. I use a MOTU 828 MK II Firewire audiocard. There is one mic connected to the mic input on the front of the 828, and three synths connected to the stereo pairs 1-6 on the back of the card. When I purchased the software (Logic Big Box) I initially used the 24-days-demo version of Logic 6 Platinum, and everything worked smooth. I defined the faders for each stero input in Logics environment, and when I played on the synths, each digital meter responded, and everything could be bounced.
However, when the demo of Platinum expired I switched to Logic 5, while waiting for the upgrade to Logic 6 (Silver). But for some reason the faders were grey and "empty" when I used my old Platinum environment, and nothing could be bounced, neither in realtime or off line. So I designed a new environment from scratch, but when I choose a fader to represent an input it turns blank. So, I hoped that the problem would be solved under Logic 6, but I have the exact same problem there. Whats even more weird is that I can hear the synths (!!!), but they can´t be bounced, and they don´t show up on the meters.
What could possibly be wrong?
