I am new at MIDI stuff, and am working with an imac on OS9.2. I have the Sibelius program, Two different Yamaha keyboards that are happy to talk to each other. An Edirol UM-1S driver MIDI interface to the computers USB port. I have loaded on the computer the driver, both freeMIDI and OMS. I am able to get Sibelius to play back to the Yamaha keyboard, but, no input is being received to Sibelius. The channels are all on 1 for receiving and sending. I've tried it with local voice on and off. What else can I do. I really want to play music throguh to Sibelius. I tried using the harmony program which is OMS and that froze the computer. OMS seems to be causing disfunction, so I have switched it off in the extensions file and am using freeMIDI. I have just read that the UM-1S needs OSX. What can be the problem? The driver, the OS, the location of OMS? Can anyone help. Thanks.
