My Content
I've been reading these forums and doing research for the past week. But I am more confused then from when I had started. What interface?
My intentions are simple. The only thing I plan on recording is my guitar. Mostly it'll be one track at a time, maybe two. I want to stick with firewire. I understand I get what I pay for but I would like to keep it reasonble.
My set up: G4 imac (800 MHz / 512 MB) and Logic 7 Pro is on it's way.
My history. started out on a cassette 4 track many many years ago and upgraded to a Roland VS840GX (used it like a 4 track). I purchased my Mac a couple of years ago with the intention of recording.
I would really appreciate some good advice!
I'm able to get Express 7 at a student discount but I have a few minor questions:
Does it a have a sampler and a loop function?
Interfaces: want something cheap but reliable (oxymoron I know). Recommendations?
Intention: Basically I will only be recording guitars, one at a time and editing them. No multitrack live situations.
Thanks guys.
I 've been recording music for years at home on 4 tracks and lately on a Roland digital 8 track.
I want to invest in a Powerbook & Logic 6. What do I need in addition? For an interface I would like 1/4 inch inputs.
I play guitar and all my gear is outboard rack F/X and pedals. Does that make a difference?
Also, I plan to perform live with the Powerbook. What might I need?
I have read through the forums and would like to be a little more personal. Please go easy on me.
Thanks!
