Hi,
I have an 83 Gibson guitar. I don't know very much about guitars at all, but it does say studio on it and the serial verifies that it's an 83. It looks like all of the other 83 Gibson Les Paul Studios with a few exceptions that I don't really understand
On the back of the base of the guitar, all of the others have two plates: one diamond shaped one on the bottom left and one small circular one on the top right. Mine only has one bottom left diamond shaped one and no circular one on the top right.
Also, usually there is a switch on the top left of the front of the base, but mine has the switch next to the knobs on the bottom right.
I know that I sound really retarded, but I know nothing about guitars.. so I have no idea what this means. I'm trying to sell it and I can't because I don't know what to say about it.
PLEASE HELP ME!

i know that protools is the industry standard for recording but , i wonder this. Its really just a computer, so why would i not be better of with the fastest G5 that is available and MOTU DP4 and apogee converters, which are better to begin with. The cost difference would be tremendous, and will i really be able to slow down the G5. iM only recording audio, very little MIDI . I want to hear both sides of this if possible, real reasons.
I have been looking desperately for a good deal on a new or used motu 828 system & digital performer 4 software for my mac to run on OSX. unfortunately the only thing ive found even the slightest discount on is DP4. I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere or anyone who is selling a new or used motu828 for 700 or -. its the only way i can afford it.

also wondering if you had any information about using an akai mpc 2000 to sample on a roland v-drum set.
