Musicians / ~Misc

I write songs for our local house church that try to have deeper meaning than the shallow contemporary christian stuff. I would like to record some of them for a wider audience who desire more in their christian music.

I downloaded Metro 6 SE demo, and wow! am I lost. I tried the tutorial in the manual, but no better. I am just starting out with using the computer to record music. Metro 6 SE is within my budget, but I want to learn how to use it to make sure I like it, so I am trying out the demo. I looked through the archives and found some things regarding Metro 6, but does anybody know of a useful, easy to comprehend for a beginner (i.e. with a dictionary of terms) tutorial that will get me using this software without frustration and anger? Or maybe a general tutorial for computer recording that I can apply to Metro 6? Alternatively, I would consider another low-cost software package if it had a good tutorial.
