Since we're talking about OWC stuff I thought I could get peoples opinions on their processor upgrades.

I upgraded my Sawtooth 400Mhz G4 with a OWC 1Ghz Processor. I am not entirely sure I like how it handles the amount of audio running around on my computer but I don't have anything to compare it to.

Any thoughts?

Hello again!

I use the Orchestral II and Asia experience boards interchangeably with my Roland JV-1010. Since there is no need for FreeMIDI or OMS text files with patch names anymore in OSX, how does one get the additional patches from the expansion boards to appear in a sequencer (DP4.12 of course)?

Thanks!

I know I posted a similar question the other day but now that the problem has truely solidified itself into a bigger problem I definately need some help with it now.

My setup
G4 Mac OS 10.3.2
DP 4.12 with GPO
MOTU micro express interface
Roland JV-1010
Triton Le
Alesis MultiMix 6FX
Tascam US-122

The audio outs from my modules are going into the Mixer and from the mixer 1/4" outs to the US-122. I can see the US-122 receiving the audio but in DP the audio track is not receiving and signal. Likewise with my Shure SM57 mic. I am pretty new to this version of DP and still feeling out how they rearranged everything.

I'd be REALLY greatful for any advice!

Thanks!

I use my Triton Le with DP 4.12 so I am pretty unfamiliar with the Tritons built-in interface. I have a few questions:

-Is it possible to reset the Global settings to a
"factory default"?

-I'm in Combi mode (listening direct from the keyboard,
no sequencer involved), my Arp button is lit, but I'm
not getting any patch patterns playing when I play the
keyboard. What gives?

-In the software sequencer it only shows the Program
patches. Is it possible to show Combi patches as
well?

Thanks in advance!

Couldn't think of an acceptable title for this post, hope it's sufficient!

This weekend I recorded some music from a sound source not typical to a music studio - a Sega Dreamcast. After a great deal of rewiring cables and tweaking of knobs, I managed to get a signal into my Tascam US-122, but when I went to record the audio into DP 4.12 the sound wasn't reaching the software (I did set my Sound Input Preferences to the US-122) I did manage to get a recording using Audio Hijack Pro but DP and Pro Tools free couldn't get a signal. Now that I'm thinking about it, is an Aux track needed? This is my first time using a different sound source in this manner. The Dreamcast uses RCA outs so I had to route that through my mixer and into my US-122. Any thoughts or slaps in the face? tongue.gif
