Hey there. I currently own a couple versions of Digital Performer, and I have the latest version but I use 2.7 because it has been working flawlessly with my studio MacIntosh. I also have an iBook 366Mhz G3 laptop with 10GB hard disk space and 320MB of RAM. I want to turn it into a portable demo studio for when I'm on the road. I really only want it for basic low fidelity recording to document new compositions. Sort of a high-end dictaphone device, but one I can use to import into my recording studio Mac and DigiPerformer, if needed. I want to keep it as simple and as inexpensive as possible and I basically just need a way to record audio into the computer and into Digital Performer. The iBook does not have a mic/audio input jack, and I was told that the hip way to get audio into the laptop is by purchasing an adapter called the iMic, made by Griffin. It is 24 bit and the following link contains the specs on the iMic: http://www.devdepot.com/description.html?pcode=HIMICCould someone tell me if I could use the iMic and how I would go about choosing it as my audio input source. I really would appreciate anyone's help with this! Regards, Shane
