hi!

I am new in the field of hardware samplers, just got s2000 with 32mb memory and 8 I/O expansion card. Planning to use it live, for beats, along with alesis mmt8, more like "sample player".

I am making beats on mac (imac g3 400mhz) in Logic & EXS. the problem is how do i get the samples (4-bar multitrack bounces) into sampler. I got another mac at work with scsi card, and i got scsi zip drive. So what i'd like to perform is transfer audio files (.aiff) onto the zip drive, formatted for Akai. Dedicated software, like osmosis, cd extract and Logic itself allow me only to convert files FROM akai format to mac, at least they advertise it most. Or, like MESA they need Sampler itself to be hooked to SCSI. as i got sampler in home, i cant carrying it to work all the time, there's just zip drive.

Super luxury would be to convert EXS instruments with all the mapping and included samples into AKAI.

Also, what about some usb or FW to SCSI adapters? will they work in configuration mac-adapter-sampler-zip?

Really hope some AKAI gurus can help me.

thanks.
