anyone recommend a good partition scheme to get audio and non audio harddrives on my mac. tried it l;ast week and have put too much memory on the audio side due to over estimating the size of my audio files. here are my stats to give you more of an idea. Computer: G4 iMac OS's: both OS 9.2.2 and OS X Software: Logic Audio 4.8 Amount of audio files : bout 2-3 cd's worth. Total Memory: 55GB basically only use my computer for logic so the HD memory doesnt need to be massive. i split it at a 60:40 ratio (Audio:HD) which resulted in me having about 35GB for Audio and 20 for my non-audio side which is making my mac run a bit slow. I also used the OS 9.2 and OS X install cd's to reboot my computer after partitioning it and now lost some programs like itunes and idvd, should i use the RESTORE CD's instead of the INSTALL CD's, the instuctions i followed to partition said use the install ones but as i said before i've lost some programs now. hopefully someone can give me some advice. cheers.
Just wondering if anyone can help. got a g4 imac with logic 4.8, recently bought an edirol UA-20 audiointerface, there's a bit of a time delay, think i should do something with the latency.whats the best settings considering my equiptment (for guitar and turntables into logic). also is it possible to record for longer than 50 mins of audio into logic? cheers. tom.
Im not really after cracked vsts, jus some sites with free ones. been to that KVR one already. effects and instruments are what im after. cheers.
running logic 4.8 on a new g4 i mac. its basically the only program i have on it and intend to keep it that way. i dont have the money to buy a sound card or anything at the mo, so wondering if increasing the memory allocation to logic will help things run smoother as occasionally logic stalls and errors occur due to lack of memory, if so how much memory shall i give it considering my macs general power? its says the prefered memory is 90000 or something, is it poss to give it that? cheers guys.
does anyone know where i can get the Kontact and Halion VST samplers and also the FM7 VST synth? any other good vst's for making drum and bass and sites with good samples and loops? cheers guys.
