Hi There,
1-Push the SETUP button in the front panel of your 828, this toggles between setup mode and mixer mode. 2-In setup mode (you should see either, clock source, optical Ins Outs format etc) turn the knob until you reach a screen that says "FACTORY DEFAULTS". 3-Once you are there before resetting you have to disconnect the MOTU 828 from the computer. 4-Push SELECT to initiate the operation 5-Pus VALUE to execute it. After this just connect the 828 to the computer and everything will be back to the factory defaults settings. All this is in the page 56 of the manual if you have it!!! Hope it helps!!!! |

Thanks for the help! I found it shortly after I posted.
I'm using the 828MKII with a G4 DP450 on OSX 10.2.8 with the latest MOTU updates and I get pops and audio drop outs or sometimes a high-pitched whine during the drop outs. I have reinstalled OSX 10.2 and it is better, but still the same problems. _____________________________________________ Here is the an email I sent to MOTU tech support: "After a few bars/seconds of recording at either 44.1 or 48, the audio drops out a I hear a high pitched whine for a second and the audio will come back. Then I get the message, "Error while trying to synch audio to MIDI. Sample Rate 48000 recognized. Check conflict between Logic Platinum and external device." Then after a few more attempts, the sample rate will drop back to 44.1 again." ______________________________________________ Here is MOTU's reply: "Hi Randy, Sorry to keep you waiting - I just want to let you know that I am on this case. Have you already tried different firewire ports of the 828 and the computer as well as firewire cables? You are running this 828mk2 on internal clock? Or something different? -- Nikki DePasquale MOTU Tech " Do you have any suggestions? |
