Two VST instruments that come to mind are "NI Battery", and "Linplug RM IV". Either one is very capable as a drum sample player.

Keep in mind that some very robust drum solutions are coming into play now... BFD, for one, is looking simply amazing...

The CM 202 is a free but cool & simple drumsampler you get free with a subscription to ComputerMusic Magazine. There's a lot more freestuff too...

Not only with subscription (in holland anyway) buy magazine>get 202... Works fine but is simpler than battery, RM IV. Don't forget Reason by the way.... It has great drumprog that can open WAV samples as well. Just open through Rewire
