DP4 seems to take forever starting up under panther on a dual 2ghz G5. I am up to date on all software updates. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. DP3 started up faster in os9 on a slower machine. this just doesn't seem right. are there any tweking tips you guys have?

thanks,
mike

It sounds like you have the bare minimum RAM (512 mb). DP4 needs 1 gig and the G5s don't take off in the performance area until you have 2 GBs installed. At that point it will run laps around everything.

well i'd say you're right on the money. right now there's only 512 in there. I've been trying to do some research on which ram to buy and from who. Basically I just want something inexpensive that works. any suggestions?

thanks for the help
