I am considering buying a soundcard for my Powerbook G4 867Mhz, working both on OS 9 and X. Which of the MOTU 828 Mk2 or the RME Multiface do you think will give the best results ? huh.gif

did you ever get a reply to this question on the soundcard issue? I have been trying to balance up whether I want to get the Motu 2408 mk2 or the Rme cardbus...........I actually am a retailer for audio gear in Australia, but haven't tried either of these two products yet, so was interested in whether anyone had a preference over these two? I can see that probably the RME interface would be the more mobile of the two........which i guess is the big issue otherwise i would still be using my desktop...

I think from all the things i have read, the seems to be more peopl using the MOTU, but is that just because it is eaiser to find, or because it actually is the preferable product???

Most retailers in Paris advised me to choose the RME, which I did, and I am really glad with it.

the rme eats the motu. Higher output and just sounds better. The motu is prettier if thats what your after.

Yep, Multiface rocks.
Been using it for about 18 months, and never a problem - on Mac or PC.

The MIDI doesn't work under OSX, though.
