Just got my first mac and also threw out $450 for the mbox just to realize that protools isn't compatable with 10.3 yet. Is there any multitrack software out there and proven to work yet with this system? Brand new to the forum and it has some great info...thanks

Sorry but nothing that works with safely with Panther (10.3) is available yet.

Stick with 10.2.8 Max and there is plenty of stuff around but go to 10.3 and you are on your own, although this is probably changing on an almost daily basis.

Logic Platinum 6 is OS X 10.3 ready. Your Mbox won't work with it, though, I'm afraid.

Don't get all hot under the collar about 10.3 - there aren't that many (if any) music-specific benefits to 10.3 over, say, 10.2.6. Don't go to 10.2.8 - I did and it norged my system up good and proper.

If your new Mac came with 10.3 pre-loaded, you'll either have to wait for Digidesign to get it together for ProTools LE or slap another chunk of cash down for, say, Logic or DP.

Starting making music with computers is like pulling the plug on your wallet.
