First...Yes I tried the search function and found a good thread in the midi section, but I still have some questions.

I've got a Pismo Power Book (G3 400) with an 80gb drive, OS X and OS 9, and need to do some recording of up to 4 tracks for some demo cd's. I'm new to the forum and new to recording, but I've been eyeing the US-122 and the PocketStudio 5. Both sell on Ebay for with about $50 of each other and it looks like either one could do the job.

Is there a significant advantage of one over the other?
Will one allow more growth opportunities over the other?
Other than the shortcomings of the line in/ phantom power on the US-122, are there any significant issues with either?
