"and for many, many users, it will mean OS X audio has finally arrived"
Count me amoung them!
Pluggo allows me to bring my wildest MSP toys into a simple powerful audio sequencing environment in an intuitive way (plugins).
It also means I can share those MSP processors and instruments with
all who care... and those who wish to earn $ from MSP chops can now do so
ALL UNDER OS X (my fav...)

Yeah, it's just plain beautiful that we'll finally have Pluggo. As Cycling `74 points out, develop once in MSP and you have support for EVERY audio plugin format on OS X. Of course, reliability depends on how well you write the patch, but some of the Pluggo plugins can be very reliable.
