Hi, (I'm a total beginner) excuse my laymans terminology!

I'm totally lost. I have Pro-tools & Digi design on a Mac Computer (bought for me as a present - Lucky Me) On this computer there is a CD burner on itunes. I am trying to save what I have recorded on Protuuols to itunes. When I save it to the itunes library, it copies all the individual audio files (i.e vocal 1, vocal 2, drums, guitar etc) rather than recording the whole session as 1 track. My heads wrecked trying to figure this one out. What am I doing wrong? Can't seem to get any info on the Pro-tools manual. Do i need to save my pro-tools session as somthing before I do anything????? Thank you for any feedback !! biggrin.gif

HELLO. YOU NEED TO BOUNCE YOUR SESSION TO DISC STEREO . THER'S AN OPTION TO DO IT MONO OR STEREO RIGHT AFTER YOU CLICK BOUNCE TO DISC. YOU WANT STEREO INTERLEAVED 44.1 . THEN TAKE THAT STEREO TACK AND DRAG IT INTO A NEW FOLDER ON ITUNES. THAT SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM .

You may need to purchase from the Digidesign website the MP3 Export Option.
(I think it's around $20US???)
Once installed, when you're ready to move a PT song to iTunes, you select "Bounce To Disk" and that's where you can select MP3 .

Go to Digidesign.com for details...
* MP3 Export or MP3 Option software
* Read Me document with installation instructions
* Pro Tools MP3 Option Manual

Hope this helps....

bounce to disk just like truebeliiver mentioned below. you can use aiff or wav. once you bounce, you just drag the file into itunes and itunes will convert it for you. thats it!
