I just got a edirol pcr-50 midi keyboard...and everything is hooked up, except i can't hear it in my monitor. it's appearing in the test runs as setup , and i can see it in the levels, but i'm not able to monitor my signal...neither in the mixer nor in cubase/reason.

i'm thinking i must have it going incorrectly from the mac to the mixer? or maybe my audio setups in cubase are messed up? i'm so confused.

i'm new to midi... all my analog audio signals are fine and still working. this is wierd.

anyone know whats going on??

heres my setup:

Edirol PCR-50
Mac G4 / OS 9.2
Cubase 5.0 VST
Reason 2.0
Behringer MX802A Mixer sad.gif

What do you meen you can't hear it? You do know it is just a midi controller and makes no sound whatsoever. If you want to hear something you will have to have it controll something, like a softsynth, quiktime instrument, or any midi controllable sound device.

i can't hear any midi tracks, either ones that i've recorded via a softsynth, or midi tracks in some demo songs i've run from cubase and reason.

but the levelers are showing them there.
