My computer got totally messed up and I had to re-install all of my apps / Plugins etc.

Does anyone know where the Waves components are supposed to go: ??

WaveShell RTAS 3.0 - DAE / Plugins folder
Waves Plugins 3.0 - ?
WavesLib 3.0 - ?
SetUp Libraries - ?
Plug-in Settings - ?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

It's probably better to reinstall them so the components go in the right place but the 'waveshell' (RTAS, VST or whatever your system uses) goes in the plugin folder of your app. (cubase, logic etc.) This is the pointer to your Waves plugin folder, it tells the app. where to find the plugins.
The actual plugins stay in the Waves plugin folder which can be anywhere on your hard drive. The first time you try to use a plugin i.e. open the waveshell, it will ask you where the Waves plugin's folder is. It only needs to do this once as long as you don't move the plugin folder.

The WavesLib goes in your system extensions folder. The setup libraries and plugin settings remain in the Waves plugin folder.

(the waves plugin folder is the burnt orange icon of a part open folder with a 'W'on it.)

hope this helps. bjkiwi
