hey derhamm-
that's great that you found the setup you were looking for at a good price. i'm a bit nervous hearing you talking about vst instruments though. you decided on a route that doesn't really allow for too much vsti or plugin action because these are the two things that kick are the most processor intensive. you should be able to run one an organ vsti and still record. Native Instruments vsti's are poorly optimized for the mac os however, so you should just try the demo or something and look elsewhere for a vsti that doesn't hog so much cpu. An organ shouldn't be any big deal, but NI instruments can often put a hurting on slower macs i hear. what seq app are you going to use again? -------------------- Kit: Dual Ghz G4, Vaio 2.6ghz GRV670 notebook.
