I will be receiving a new G5 in August so I'm back in the Mac World. What's the best buy for a Midi Keyboard Controller? I hear Evo is a good buy. What about M-Audio Keyboard? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

depends on your needs and expectations from the keyboard really... many of the newer keyboards are additional features that you may or may not need like mic pre's etc.

I have a m-audio Oxygen 8 controller and like a lot. It has been very useful in my studio and with my laptop. Very few complaints about it.

Apart from the fact that it only has 25 keys, arf. laugh.gif

No, really, that's started to annoy me more recently as I become a slightly better keyboard player. I like the Oxygen 8, but I'm glad I've also got a couple of full-size Midi keyboards, too. One's a Roland, one's an Evolution. The Evo has controller knobs, though I don't use them all that much anyway.

well I actually have a Yamaha CS6x 64 note keyboard as my main midi controller but sometimes its cool to use the oxy8 with my table top synth or drum machine along with CS6x. Oxy 8 was never meant for anything more than composing simple melodies, bass rhythms, percussion etc... its just handy due to size.
