Remember Vision and Studio Vision, the once great sequencers that Gibson killed the moment they bought Opcode? Well, as I'm working more and more on newer computers with Mac OS X, I knew I had to say goodbye someday to that tried and true application.
I remember MOTU having a competetive Dgital Performer crossgrade for Vision owners, but as I'm more into Logic, I called Emagic's Scandianivan distributor (Roland) and asked. Well, turns out I can bring the original Studio Vision manual and CD-ROM to a dealer and get the same rebate as if I were switching from Cubase SX. I now get Logic Platinum 6 for about 5000 SEK less (that's in the $500 USD or ?500 ballpark). Not bad for vintage software.
Just thought any remaining Studio Vision owners would like to know...
Note that this doesn't apply for the downloaded versions of Studio Vision that became available during Opcode's death. You got to have the manual and the installation CD.
