hi peops, i want to make music, i use to have a pc laptop, but now im looking for someting only focused on music ie sequencing+mixing(effect,comp,etc) i want to be able to sequenc midi gear, record audio from separate outputs and next mixdown all this on a soft that can uses vst or dx plug ins, i dont want to use virtual synth/sampler. i dont want to spend much money ( rolleyes.gif ) -> 6000 $ nearly. and that's it, (if someone can help ?) thx

Get a soundcard with preamps already in it. Prosonus Firestation or M-Audio products

You'll need to spend sometime learning how to use a sequencer, Logic will probably be your best bet on Mac since Apple owns them (i.e. future looks good for them). the Gold edition will probably suit you. you can run Logic soft synths and the exs-24 sampler with logic seamlessly.

Also, computers can be bought ready for audio work at http://www.advanceddesignky.com/

in fact they have soundcards, sequencer, everything you'll need so give them a ring and ask for their advice, too.
