Hi All.
Last friday i bought a MAC and i installed OS 10.2.6.
Today i'm trying to install my new RME multiface8 but i could realy use some help.
I downlaoded the latest drivers of the RME site, witch are 3 total:

* fut_11_104.sit, Flash Update Tool for Hammerfall DSP System
* madsp220.sit Mac OS (>8.6) ASIO 2.0 driver for Hammerfall DSP System
* hdsp_11.tar Mac OS X (10.2 or up) driver for Hammerfall DSP System.

I installed the devive driver (hdsp_11.tar) with succes but i'm unable to install the ASIO driver
and update the PCI card with the Flashupdate tool.

The ASIO drivers need to be copie to the system folder and than they should automaticaly be installed in the Extensions folder (says the readme file)
But when i copy the file to the System folder an error says that the System folder can not be changed, ...??? what should i do??

When i try to update the PCI card with the Flashupdate tool i get an error that the driver could not be accesed over and over. The readme file says that driver version 2.0 or higher must be installed but i don't know witch driver they mean with this. ()the latest device driver is 1.1)

Can anybody help please

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I'm assuming you are using OS X (being on a new mac and also successfully installing hdsp_11.tar)?

You don't need to install ASIO as it is not needed in OS X. OS 9 uses ASIO, OS X uses "Core Audio".
Also you shouldn't need to flash your card (this flash upgrade is for ASIO only; I think huh.gif )
The version 2.0 driver in the read me file refers to the driver for OS 9.

So you have already installed all you need!
You should have a "Hammerfall DSP Mixer" and "Hammerfall DSP Settings"

Make sure you have added both these programs to ’System Preferences/Login Items’.
Using the option ’Hide’ both programs stay minimized in the Dock when booting.
