Hi !

I have a problem : I use a Powermac 9600 / 350 Mhz with Logic audio 4.7.3 (Mac OS 8.5). I also have a Digidesign Audiomedia III sound card.
I know I must put DAE (Digidesign audio engine) in my System folder, and put DSI in my Extensions folder, because they are drivers for this card.

But when I launch Logic audio, the following message appears :"DAE : No audio harware found."

So Logic doesn't recognize the audiomedia …
What versions of DAE an DSI must I use ?
Please halp me ! sad.gif

maybe see if you can get DAE 5.1 from digidesign.com and while you are upgrading... I would go ahead and upgrade Logic to 4.8.1 since its free from your version. I am not sure about the DSI file. Also, try using Direct I/O option in Logic Audio Prefs rather than DAE. I am not sure if this will work for your sound card or not but... I have Digi001 I use with my Logic 4.8.1 and even though it uses DAE... I have to set Logic to use Direct I/O and not the DAE option. Also make sure this is selected in sound manager control panel for sound output. As I said, this may work for your card but not sure. Its worth a try though. cool.gif
