I have been a Mac user for about 20 years plus or minus. I have sequenced music using operating systems Mac OS6 through 9.2.

I recently bought a G4 running OSX. None of my older sequencing software worked with OSX.

I have been looking now for about a month for some sequencing software that will work with OSX. I have tried Intuem, Mastertracks Pro 6.8.2, and Metro 6.0.5. The only program that works is Intuem, but this program is so simple and I am not able to edit music like I am used to. Both Mastertracks and Metro give me zero sound. I am completely unable to make them force my synth to speak. The information gets as far as the midi interface but then stops. Nothing seems to work and I just get placations from the mfgs.

Why can't I make Metro or Mastertracks make sound? Please help. Thanks

Hmm you posted in the wrong place cool.gif

It's corrected.

Upon your issues users here can help you out with Metro at least, the troubles on it were covered.

Alse you have the "big" names on X now too.

I personally use Digital Performer from the Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU).
Version 4 is specifically designed to work with MacOsX. To my knowledge there are probably very few if none, sequencers capable of being used in MacOs X in their old, 9 version.

When using Metro 6, make sure to set you sound card to play sound through, then in meto go to "set up", scroll down to "digital audio.." In that windo will be a button "recording options". Click on that, then Click "play through". All of this is based on my assumtion that you are playing the sounds of the synths through your mac. wink.gif
