Hello all,,

I am graphic designer for 5+ years workinf with mac full time.

Next week powerbook 1 GHZ comes to my hands fullly dedicated to art and music..smile.gif) therefore i am in some qq about support gear and soft for my the music creation..

So, i need: Usb or firewire sound card... Thereore, the sound card will be dedicated for recording my oldskool russian synths Polyvox, who themselves have really wide and groovy sound,, And U know people, i want to have all these viby sounds on my harddrive Well, i see MAudio Firewire 410 Mobile Recording Interface is coming soon to the world, and i look more and more to the side of it... But i have heard very good reviews about waveterminal U2A from frineds.... I wanna use it in the fields too with mic for some river, cats and animals all over:))) So people, what are Your suggestions...Sould i wait for MAudio Firewire 410 Mobile Recording Interface, or Peak, Deck, Live, Logic, Cubase, Max/Msp.....??. I am totally lost there, but what i know really: i will need a lot of effects... Pluggo, Vst's Hypeprism....and i want to hear everything from my monitors live too??? I am lost there at the moment too...

And the soft. the firsts steps to the music will go like this: 1-2 synths are conntected to my sound card. i do all manipulations with the sound from my synths and want to put on some EFX live, sraight from some app, and with possibility to record everything i do for an hours of the night..smile.gif) later i will want to cut the places i loved, to make some autechre, coil'ish sounds from them and to organize something i will call song later:)) So boys, what soft should i use there. and yeah, music i hear now, is something like early plastikman, coil vintage series and the similar ones...smile.gif)

As i do understand, any firewire haddrive is more that reccomended if lap is dedicated to make music smile.gif) maybe someone could reccomend any good in these fields too.

What else should i know??

THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!

ALL THE BEST!

Zydrius.

Your first next step should be not posting the exact same thing six times. laugh.gif

ok, now that problem has been fixed... your questions are pretty broad. Take a closer look through the Getting Started forum for all sorts of opinions.
