Dp4 Sightings, Is that a DAW in yer pocket... Options

In mounting frustration over slow delivery on the elusive Digital Performer 4, some of the very creative people on the UnicorNation forum began uploading images of "DP4 Sightings," and it became one of the funniest, most entertaining threads I've ever read anywhere, so I thought I would share it, and pass on, at the end, an *actual* DP4 sighting for all those interested.

For those not interested in signing up for the forum, one member has set up a web page with a slide show of most of the images that have been posted to the thread (it's not entirely up to date yet, but has most of them), and that's here:

And for an *actual* DP4 sighting--Yes, Virginia, there *is* a unicorn--it's at Sweetwater: in stock, ready to ship. Unfortunately, that's only for retail sales, and apparently the upgrade prices (from DP or a qualifying competitive product) are only available from MOTU. And, apparently, MOTU got their product out to retailers before it shipped to upgrading customers. That's what all the fuss has been about in the thread referenced above.

At least they're having fun with it instead of *just* complaining. And fun it is!

About DP4: According to discussions in the french forums, it seems that at least one guy got the DP4 update (unoficially) and he seems to be really happy with the fastness and reliability of DP4:
