Hi,
I just received the Pro Tools 6.0 for Mac OS X this morning and am trying to install it (I have a Powerbook G4 Titanium 667 mhz with 512MB Ram and an Mbox).
After installing the software from the CD, I try to load Pro Tools 6.0 but I get an error message "Unable to create DAE deck." Then PT just quits. My system doesn't freeze-up or anything, just the PT stops loading. I have not installed any of the included Plug-ins. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail. Also, I've tried re-booting after install.
Any helpful suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

I was getting the same problem. It seems as if that message is almost the PT6 equivalent to "no digidesign hardware found" Try to unplug the USB cable from the mbox, replug, and relaunch. If that doesn't work, then uninstall PT6, trash ALL preferences and associated files that were installed with it that may have been left around by the uninstaller. Then install ONLY the PT6 for mbox WITHOUT any of the other "answerbase" or other installer optional files. Then reboot and launch. If you get the error again, when you unplug and replug the USB cable from the mbox and relaunch, it should work. email me at bigdawg@minimansion.com if you still have problems.... let me know if it works... -minimansion

Ahh! That did the trick! Unplugged & re-plugged the Mbox, and PT6 started up without a hitch.
Thanks a lot for the help; I appreciate it!
