The new macs biproc and DDR don't like the Digi01 at all. Digi confirmed this on their site.
Is that DDR memory? I was thinking of getting some ram for the G4 and I do own a Digi001... Should I just stick with getting the same kind of RAM that I already have in my mac?

Hey Teiwaz, you keep resuscitating old dead threads ? BTW this one was never answered in a correct way… (got to do everything myself Well, nothing to do (as far as I know) with the DDR, but with the motherboard design YES! It's Apple fault. It doesn't like some chips on these cards… In fact beside the Digi001 2 other PCI cards had the problem, solution - can come from a simple change in extensions order to the replacement of the motherboard on these macs. - If the Digi001has a motorola chip with a name finishing by "3F48S", you have to ask Digi for a card with a card with a "2K30A" chip (An Apple guy gave this info in the french forums…) - If Protools is on a hard drive on the ATA100 port move to the ATA66, it'll work… there must be some info at Digi site too

Well, this is better than "Through the Looking Glass": the fault is with Apple, but the solution comes from DidWeDesign. Hmmmm. Fascinating. Simply fascinating. Learn something new every day. Won't say what...
