I am not a logic owner, but plan to be the second version 6 is released to the general public. In typical fashion though, I was going to get a jump on my purchases by adding the esx24 to an existing order I was about to process online for other gear. It occured to me that maybe this version of the exs24 wouldn't be the same version as what will be released with logic 6.. am I way off on this ? I shouldn't have to worry about my purchase being a waste, aside from the fact I couldn't use it till logic showed up. smile.gif

btw- with logic and the exs24 in use, will I have two doggles or just one?

This will make me recosider the midi hub I also opted to remove..

EXS24 and all of the other logic instruments (ES2, ES1, EVD6, EVB6, EVOC20, EVP88) are actually coded into the logic software. When you purchase one of emagic's synths you are actually buying a licence code which authorises you to use that software.

So if you buy Logic 5 or Logic 6 the EXS24 is included you just have to buy the exs24 to unlock that part of the software. You don't actually have to install the EXS24, just type in the authorization code.
So it won't make any difference if you buy the exs24 now or when logic 6 is released.

Logic only needs the one dongle which you can authorize logic itself and any or all of their softsynths.
