hi there
i'm on os X with reason and cubase sx and was wondering if there is anything to convert an audio file into a midi file , to be able to play it in reason for example...

what i mean is: can you sample audio through a software or do you have to have hardware sampler like akai, emu...

Do you mean just cutting a bit of audio and then dropping it into one of Reason's samplers? You can do that in SX. I think you can import audio from CDs directly into SX, then cut it up or slice it in the sample editor window and export it to your Reason sampler.
