I'm looking for Drums. Somthing like Reason but Free and not so " Dance " Sounding.
Does anyone know what I can use?
I don't know much about the computer based drums that are out there.
I guesss I 'm looking for a drum Machine that sounds like real drums and is easy to use .I guess it's called step writing again like reason. Also I want it to allow me to save the files as WAV or Aiff file so I can inport them into PRO Tools.
I know PC has a few things like this But hay I'm not that desperate.
has any one tryed to play the Drums and record them while still getting a goog sound?
It Sucks It takes the life out of Me.
Please Help.

Hi, take a look at Doggiebox (http://www.zygoat.ca/products/doggiebox)
I've been trying it for a few days now and though it is still very much 'under construction' I like it a lot. There's only one drum sound in it but it sounds very 'live' and you can add new sounds yourselve. And it's only 29 USD.

Yep, Doggiebox.

NB, Deyaert (and pop-cycle): if you join the Doggiebox discussion e-list, other people often post new kits or describe how they're capturing the sounds from an old drum machine they've got. I got a lovely Roland TR-707 kit from one guy to use in DB.

New improved version of DB coming soon, too.

pop-cycle: Reason will do what you want it to. If you want to do rock, it'll do that. It's still not free, though. laugh.gif

thanks for the help.
I checked out doggie box and so far I like it.
I've heard the "Real Drums " that Reason had to offer I didn't care for it.
It could have been the programer though.
thanks again for your help
