I'm a newbie here...thanks for your help:)
I'm running OS 8.1 on a PowerMac 5200/75. I have a Yamaha PSR keyboard running to an Opcode MIDI Translator II interface into the computer. I have Performer 6 installed, but when I run FreeMIDI setup, it doesn't seem to recognize either the printer or modem port. I've tried them both. The light on the interface is flashing, indicating the MIDI info is getting to the box, but not to the computer. Am I missing something? Please help...from what I can tell of this group, you seem patient and encouraging...thanks! TeeDubya huh.gif

I think you have to do it manually.
In your FreeMIDI Configuration file, choose "Update Interfaces" from the Configuration menu. Then choose "Standard interface" from the drop down list on the appropriate serial port (modem or printer). OK the window. Then, open the "Interface Settings..." window from the MIDI menu and set the correct serial port and port speed (1Mhz).
