Just wondering if anyone knows how to record a vst instrument back into cubase VST32 as an audio track. (I want to use waves fx plugs on vst synths). Do I have to run audio out back into an input in my soundcard? There has to be an easier way.

Thanks for your help.

yea, just use the 'export audio' function. you'll find it in the master window. make sure u only select the midi track with the vst instrument u actually want to record as an audio track (as everything u select will end up in the exported audio). in the 'export audio' dialogue window select the options u wish and make sure u select import to 'pool' and 'audio track' and it will appear back in the arrange page as an audio track...magic!
selecting the parts 2 export is a crucial stage (I usualy mute all unwanted tracks and then set up the locaters to include my part/s )as is the resolution and sample rate selection and whether or not u include automation, or fx.
