what are some good sites to learn how to Program audio applications like vst insturments or editors in OS9 (and even i guess OSx potentaly). I am somewhat interested in learning the code (would it probably be applescript?right? or ones like C++?) to be able to do some interesting things(though i probably wont be able to to that much) or if there are any good books out there for learning this (i have not looked at a book store recently so there probably are) . smile.gif well any help would be appreciated though i understand if you dont give a damn about my random thoughts. sad.gif

Oh ya and i found a DX21 synth for about 50-60$ and it looks like a good deal to me what do any of you think out ther(also i dont have any hardware synths, so this would be my first, unless you can count a cheesy yamaha synth that is only good for a controller wink.gif oh well). And are there any DX21 editors out there if i decide to get this( there is this one program that says it is just a librarian for SysEx files but some people were saying that it also could act as an editor? wink.gif )well again any help would be apreciated. biggrin.gif

oh, and the dx21?
stay well clear, it's ancient, has really poor midi implementation, and
there are plenty of FREE vsti fm synths available! wink.gif
crystal from green oak is excellent, fm heaven is pretty good, vivaldi and ganymed are...well...free! laugh.gif
fm7 dosen't cost TOO much and is absolutely stunning.
the dx21 is also very bulky AND HEAVY.
unsure.gif
good luck...
