Does anyone know whether there is avocoder available that can be played by a synth, is there anyway of recording a map for keys to follow using orange vocoder?

if you use midi and send note information to a synth then used that as the carrier signal for vocoder and mixed in vocals or whatever... I think you could accomplish what you are asking but not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish

It's hard to explain what I'm trying to do, basically I'm trying to get the sort of Daft Punk effect, where the vocoder follows the keys you are playing on a keyboard. I'm using logic, and orange vocoder, how would I go about doing this?

Well just sing in the same key the keyboard is in, and then adjust whatever keys you want to add on the vocoder...

I am not sure but I think that Daft Punk might have used the Auto Tune trick as well. The trick uses midi to off-set the pitch of the vocoded sound to make it sound out of key sort of for certain syllables. I may be wrong but seems I read that this was their trick but may have been another electronic group too.

Yeah, I'm sure they did use different techniques to achieve that particular sound... but still, a vocoder (if set up right, using different keys) will provide that "Out of key sound for certain syllables".
Anyway, don't even know why I'm here, I hate vocoders... reminds me of Cher... Scaring...

Does anyone know if it is possible to the play the vocoder through a master keyboard, so it follows the notes, you are playing?

If you are using logic 5 try the emagic evoc 20. You can play different notes on the keyboard while you sing/speak.
As Synthetic has already said, the daft punk effect is partly created using auto-tune though.
