im not new to midi but i have never tried this before. i can recieve sysex data into cubase from my mc-307. but is there a way i can send note data for example a drum sequence (just midi data) back to the mc 307. i have never dived deep enough into midi to try this or to figure out if it is posible.

Couldn't you just set the mc-307 into slave mode, set it to receive midi data on a certain midi channel, start cubase to play back the data you want, and press record on the mc-307. If it doesn't have slave mode on the mc-307, setting the tempo to the same speed should work.

hey danm169,
i was going to make that suggestion but wasn't sure what an mc-307 was. further to this, if the mc-307 dosen't have slave mode, you can, of course, slave cubase to it(if it transmits mtc or beatclock). -------------------- one for all and all for one...

thanks for the quick responses. i never thought of trying that. i had my mc 307 setup for recieve mode, but i did not have it slaved. this is great news for me. i can write much better sequences in cubase than i can on the sequnecer on the 307. i will try this configuration. thanks. eD.
