Ok, calm down. We still don't know the specifics of your system, which is something you need to divulge. Everything - how much RAM, what type, what processor(s) etc... Now, let me get this part straight... you took out a stick of RAM, and the problem persisted? You took out another stick of RAM and the problem still persisted? Am I right in gleaning this from your response? If so, then this does not in any way mean that RAM is not the problem. On the contrary. testking 650-251 If you had removed a stick of RAM, and the problem gone away, then we would know that the specific stick of RAM which was removed was bad. Not the other way around. It is unlikely that you have several bad sticks of RAM, so you should test them one at a time, for a prolonged period. testking JN0-201 If the RAM test (which should take a considerable amount of time, sorry) pan out that the RAM is not causing the problem, then you may proceed to looking at your hard-drive. Are you recording to your hard-drive as well as reading? It shouldn't be a problem, but it can cause unwarranted stress on the drive, and will certainly kill a drive quicker than using two drives. Also, use DiskUtility to check and reset permissions under your administrator login. testking 642-591 From the tone of your messages, though, it seems like you are heart-set on having an iMac instead of your Mac Pro, though. I don't know how to help you there. Your parents were very-very generous to buy you a Mac Pro, that's all I can say. Wink
